Chris has a wealth of experience at restoring vehicles and will sympathetically restore any vehicle to what it should be, or to what you want it to be.
The restoration closest to his heart is a series 2 originally bought by his father in 1958. It left the family for over a decade, Chris then tracked it down in Scotland and brought it home – it is not unkind to say the vehicle was in a considerable state of disrepair.
The vehicle was stripped to nothing and then the restoration began. The chassis was rebuilt rather than replaced to keep its originality, a new loom fitted, and a partial engine rebuild followed, but as many original parts and panels were used as possible to keep the vehicle authenticity.
“When my eldest daughter left for the USA, she left us with a 1962 Series 2a that was in need of significant major refurbishment. For many years I had used Trevecca LR to service our modern Land Rovers and ‘the Landy’ had sentimental value.
I asked Chris if he would look at it and advise me on refurbishment options. The result can be seen from the photographs. Chris undertook a complete restoration project from the ground upwards, updating us regularly on progress and our options as the project progressed.
We were amazed and very pleased by the final result, and would have no hesitation in using or recommending Trevecca LR for similar projects in the future.”
